MotoLog Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Paltmann Capital OÜ ("we", "our", or "us") operates the MotoLog mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy complies with the Google Play Store developer requirements, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other global privacy frameworks. It explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: We collect your email address and an encrypted password during user registration. If you register as a mechanic, we collect your provided Company Name and Company Registration Number.
• Vehicle Data: You may input Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN), license plate numbers, make, model, year, and service history logs (including mileage, notes, and costs).
• Media Uploads: We collect image and document files (resolutions compressed locally) that you explicitly select using the Android Photo Picker or Document Picker to serve as service receipts.

2. Device Permissions

MotoLog strictly utilizes modern privacy-preserving Android APIs. The App does not request blanket Camera or external Storage permissions. Uploads are strictly facilitated via the secure Android System Photo Picker and Document Picker interfaces, meaning the App only has access to the exact files you explicitly select.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, secure, and maintain the MotoLog digital service book platform.
• To authenticate your session and prevent fraudulent activity.
• To facilitate the secure transfer of motorcycle ownership and history to another user via the explicit generation of a Transfer PIN.
• To facilitate read-only sharing of your vehicle profile to authorized mechanics via the explicit generation of a Mechanic PIN.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase as our secure backend infrastructure. Supabase handles database hosting, user authentication, and media storage end-to-end. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. By using MotoLog, you acknowledge that your data is processed through Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure in accordance with their strict privacy standards.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or vehicle data. Your data is strictly private and protected by Row Level Security (RLS) database policies. Vehicle data is only shared with third parties when you explicitly generate an access PIN (Mechanic or Transfer) inside the App and distribute that PIN.

6. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

You have full, permanent control over your data. In strict compliance with Google Play Store data deletion policies, you can delete your account and all associated data directly within the MotoLog application at any time.

• How to Delete: Navigate to the "Settings" screen inside the App and tap "Delete Account & All Data".
• What Happens: Triggering this action executes a cascading delete operation on our servers. Your user profile, email credential, registered motorcycles, service entries, and attached media files are instantly and permanently erased from our live database. This action cannot be undone.

7. Terms of Service & Fair Use

MotoLog is provided as a free tool to track vehicle maintenance. To preserve server stability and prevent automated abuse, accounts are restricted to registering a maximum of 10 motorcycles and up to 1,000 service entries per motorcycle. Any attempt to circumvent these limits, inject malicious SQL, or upload illegal or highly explicit materials to the storage buckets will result in immediate termination of the account without warning.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request corrections to any inaccurate data.
• Request complete erasure of your data (provided in-app).
• Withdraw your consent at any time by ceasing to use the application and deleting your account.
